For Mouni Roy, the year started with interesting rumours when a number of tabloids claimed that she had secretly tied the knot with her boyfriend, Suraj Nambiar. Some YouTube channels started running stories about an intimate Dubai wedding and how Mouni dressed up in a white tulle gown for the festivities. However, the actress was quick to dismiss the claims and said that “When it happens, the whole world will know I will only say that.” Well, looks like it is about time.
According a recent media report, Mouni’s cousin, Vidyut Roysarkar has revealed that the actress has decided to get hitched and is finally tying the knot with her Dubai-based boyfriend soon. He further added that the couple has decided upon a date and is eyeing January 2022 as the perfect time for their nuptials. Turns out that Mouni and Suraj have grand plans for the shaadi and are currently considering both Dubai and Italy as potential venues. However, they do intend to throw a reception party in Mouni’s hometown (Cooch Bihar) as well.
We hear that Mouni and Suraj have been dating since 2019. However, it was only on New Year’s eve last year that the actress made her relationship Instagram official by posting a video of her with Suraj’s parents. In the video, she was heard referring to them as ‘mom and dad.’ Not too long after that, Mouni and Suraj’s families set the gossip mills churning after a get together at Mandira Bedi’s (Mouni’s bestie) house. The rumours were rife that they had met to discuss wedding plans and since then everyone has been waiting for an official confirmation.
Well, now that it’s officially out there, we cannot wait for the couple to take the plunge and stun us with their shaadi pictures. Also, we are eager to see Mouni’s bridal look. She happens to be telly town’s true fashionista after all. Here’s extending our best wishes to the beautiful couple!
