It’s Decided, We Are Borrowing Mouni Roy’s Striking Look To Get Our Festive Mood Rolling!

With Diwali (almost) upon us, we wouldn’t blame you if you find yourself struggling with the loose ends that need to be tied up. And in sync with that sentiment, we thought that a little bit of last-minute sartorial inspiration wouldn’t hurt either. Enter Mouni Roy’s latest, a dynamic take on the age-old lehenga to get you out of the rut. Ready to take a deep dive?

Mouni Roy’s On-Point Festive Attire

Below, a peek at how the actress aced the festive look and the accessories she styled it with, an overall scene-stealing version with enough interesting elements to take notes from. Here’s looking!

A Contemporary Lehenga

Mouni Roy festive look for Diwali

For her recent appearance for a Diwali party, Mouni Roy dressed up to the nines, as the occasion demanded, her attire going beyond expectations. Dialling up the festive quotient in a contemporary lehenga, the Bollywood actress opted for a pristine white iteration that was complete with blink-and-miss gathers below at the hem. Scattered gold motifs and embellishment rounded off the look perfectly, further adding to her party-ready separate. An intricately embroidered blouse with attention to the décolletage formed the modernistic pair-up to her lehenga, the Diwali outfit completed with a quaint white dupatta featuring scalloped edges.

We have said it before and we will reiterate for good measure: the at-home festivities this year present us with a comfortable setting that allows experimentation. Take out that lehenga that you stowed away, teaming it with a new-age blouse or even a top to make for a stunning attire. What’s more, is that the look can be re-worn at an intimate wedding you may have an invite to.

Jewellery & Beauty Details

Not one to go easy on the jewellery, especially given the festive setting, Mouni Roy elevated her outfit with ornate picks—a choker featuring semi-precious stones embedded in it worked with a gold-toned maangtikka being on the forefront. Thinking of giving your jewellery a spin à la Mouni Roy? Don’t forget to take a look at even more ceremonial tricks that might be of help in the jewellery department, finishing off with on-fleek makeup. You know that makes for a stellar look each time, don’t you!

If that’s not a festive look to emulate this Diwali, we don’t know what is.
