All boyfriends have a skin-deep mistrust of skincare and I don’t really get why. They often view our totally necessary multi-step routines with bafflement. A few men I know use maybe two products on their faces, which is more than I can say for the rest of the male population.
My own partner, for example, clings to his Nivea cold cream with the fervour of a shipwreck survivor to a life raft. No matter the climate or the cries for help his skin sends out, he remains undeterred.
Despite my efforts to introduce him to the wonders of a skincare routine, his loyalty to drugstore finds remains unshaken. It’s a tale as old as time, so in a blend of desperation and curiosity, I turned to the internet to gather intel on the skincare products that people’s partners not only use but swear by. Let his hair gel mysteriously be replaced with a curl-enhancing cream. I’m sure he’ll become the unofficial ambassador for the curly method, lecturing me you ‘crunch scrunching.’
Dare him to use your hyaluronic acid under his eyes.

Who would have thought that a few sneaky swaps and the promise of pampering could unveil a world where men too marvel at the wonders of hyaluronic acid and the magic of moisturisation?
