India’s gruelling election marathon concluded on May 23 with the BJP winning the general election of 2019. On Thursday, May 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with 57 ministers, took oath of office at a grand swearing-in ceremony, administered by President Ram Nath Kovind, at Rashtrapati Bhawan in the presence of 6,000 guests. The size of the event was not the only thing that made news. What caught everybody’s attention was the presence of numerous showbiz stars rubbing shoulders with heads of state and several other VVIPs.

Indian film director Karan Johar posted a picture with all the celebs present at the event on his Instagram handle. He also wrote a congratulatory message for the new Prime Minister, “Congratulations again, Hon Prime Minister @narendramodi and many thanks for inviting me to be part of this momentous day. It is a time of great consequence for India as you continue to lead her to a position of global power, in all spheres. As a proud Indian, I bask in the accolades that I hear for India in my travels across the globe.
