What A Woman! Here’s Harnaaz Sandhu’s Powerful Answer That Won Her The Miss Universe 2021 Title

Just when we thought it might be a mundane Monday morning, we got a super exciting update straight from Eilat, Israel! India’s Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu has bagged the Miss Universe 2021 crown at the 70th edition of the competition. After 21 long years, the prestigious title has finally returned home!

Truth be told, it was a long road for Harnaaz but she managed to make more than a billion people proud with her performance. NGL, we legit got goosebumps when she was presented with the crown!

It was Harnaaz’s responses during the final question and answer round that made her stand out of the competition. The top three contestants from India, Paraguay and South Africa were asked what advice would they give to young women on how to deal with the pressure they face today.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Harnaaz replied, “Well, I think the biggest pressure the youth of today is facing is to believe in themselves. To know that you’re unique and that’s what makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourselves with others and let’s talk about more important things that are happening worldwide. I think this is what you need to understand. Come out, speak for yourself because you are the leader of your life, you are the voice of your own.

The model added, “I believed in myself and that’s why I’m standing here today.”

TBH, we are giving a virtual standing ovation to Harnaaz for coming up with the perfect response to the question. She slayed it for sure!

In an old interview, Harnaaz opened up on how she faced bullying for being ‘too skinny’ and for her ‘different accent’. She said, “I’m happy that it happened because the Harnaaz you see today is different from who she used to be; I’ve become a stronger version of myself. Everything happens for a reason in our life; it’s up to us how we take it. So mental health has definitely been a very important part of my life; I learned a lot. When people text me stating how I inspired them, it makes me really happy.”

More power to you, Harnaaz! We are incredibly proud of her journey and victory!
