Mira Kapoor’s Glowing Skin Tip Is Not For The Faint-Hearted

Mira Kapoor’s Glowing Skin Tip Is Not For The Faint-Hearted

Mira Kapoor is a pro at whipping up DIY home remedies for her skin and hair. But when it comes to an instant glow, there’s one natural skincare hack she uses that is pretty wild. And it involves a single kitchen ingredient.

Not just that, Mira also says that this hack is what gives her an instant boost of radiance when she needs it the most. Curious to know all about it right? Read on.

What Is Mira Kapoor’s Skincare Hack?

When talking about how she begins a facial at home, Mira said she starts off by rubbing a slice of lemon on her face. “I start off by cutting a nimbu and putting it on my face straight there, because once you start putting it, the nimbu fibres become brush-like.”

Mira also suggested those with sensitive skin types should proceed with caution. “If you have sensitive skin, you may want to try it out but dilute the lemon juice because it is highly acidic.” Mira also emphasised the importance of doing a patch test before trying out any DIY home remedy.

Mira Rubs Lemon On Her Skin, But Is It Safe?

Lemons are a natural source of vitamin C and Mira is right to think of using on her face. But for some skin types, this hack can be too harsh. So if you’ve cleared a patch test to check if your skin’s sensitive to lemons, Mira’s hack can be your natural chemical exfoliator.

And just like chemical exfoliators, applying lemon directly on the skin makes it feel tingly with a slight burn. Mira confirmed, “When you first put the nimbu, it does sting, but I like that. I actually like the after-effect of it, which is squeaky clean skin.”

If you’re applying lemon directly to your face, make sure to apply a soothing moisturiser after washing it off. You can even spritz rose water immediately after this lemon rub DIY skin exfoliator to instantly hydrate, soothe and moisturise your skin.

Benefits Of Mira Kapoor’s DIY Skincare Tip

It is a natural shot of vitamin C to the skin, which means you get brightening results. Applying lemon to the face like Mira helps gently exfoliate dead skin cells, purifies and unclogs the pores, and also helps fade tan and dark spots in a single use. But it is extremely important to soothe and hydrate the skin with a good moisturiser after using it.

One of my favourite moisturisers to use if I am using any kinds of acids in my skincare like vitamin C is the Foxtale Ceramide Supercream Smoothening Moisturizer because it repairs my skin barrier and keeps it supple and healthy.

As someone who has tried and tested Mira Kapoor’s hack, let me tell you, it really delivers amazing results!
