Mira Kapoor’s Tips For Hairfall May Be Unconventional, But They Work!

Mira Kapoor is the beauty guru we didn’t know we needed. The mother-of-two has beauty tips and tricks up her sleeve and she doesn’t gatekeep. Be it her DIY hair gels, go-to remedies for pimples, and even ayurvedic nuskhas, she’s left no section of the beauty world unexplored.

So when Kapoor revealed that she found a few tried-and-tested remedies that helped reduce her hair loss (that she’s spoken so much about), you best believe we took notes.

Mira Kapoor Does These Things To Reduce Hairfall

Says No To Ponytails With Thin Rubberbands

In her video, Mira revealed that tying your hair too tight “Can cause traction alopecia and that’s what causes a receding hairline.” If you insist on pulling your hair back tight, use a silk scrunchie instead. This reduces the pressure on the hair strands and reduces hair breakage and hairfall.

Doesn’t Comb Wet Hair

Wet hair is more fragile and is known to break easily with even the slightest pull. Instead of running your comb through soaking wet hair, take a little time to towel dry your hair, then apply some serum to it to hydrate the strands, and then comb through with a wide-tooth comb. Also, make sure you’re combing your hair from the roots to the tip so that you can get rid of the knots easily without tugging at your scalp.

Invests In A Water Softener

Hard water has multiple drawbacks for both, the skin and hair. And owing to the fact that she was already struggling with hair loss, Mira attached a water softener to her shower head and claimed that it truly helped reduce her hair fall.

Gets Regular Trims (On The Day Of The Full Moon)

Mira shares a disclaimer that this might sound ridiculous, but it’s something she’s been following religiously. According to Mira, the full moon accelerates the growth of hair while a new moon can slow it down. Trimming or cutting your hair on the day of the full moon, according to Mira, strengthens the roots and leads to thicker hair.

While we’re not too sure about the full moon theory, we fully stan for the rest of Mira’s hair tips. If you’ve not tried them yet, what are you waiting for? They really work!
