The one Bollywood actress that everybody—literally everybody—is talking about right now is Sonam Kapoor. Recently, the fashion icon announced via social media that she and her husband, Anand Ahuja, are expecting their first child. She shared the update by dropping pics from a maternity shoot with her hubby and they were every bit stunning. In the caption, she wrote, “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you. ❤️❤️❤️”
Recently, soon-to-be grandpa Anil Kapoor shared a heartfelt note on his Twitter handle that made us quite emotional. He wrote, “Now preparing for the most exciting role of my life – GRANDFATHER!! Our lives will never be the same again and I couldn’t be more grateful! @sonamakapoor & @anandahuja you have made us happy beyond measure.” Aww! We have to say that his excitement is making us smile from ear to ear. Now, it’s Sonam’s BFF, Masaba Gupta’s sweet note for her that’s winning our hearts. During a recent interview with a leading daily, the designer and entrepreneur expressed her happiness of becoming a maasi and it’s every bit adorbs.
Masaba shared that Sonam would make a terrific mom and said, “I am very happy for her. She will make a great mom because I think she has got all the qualities in her to make a great mom. I am very happy for her and Anand.” We totes agree! Imagine a little toddler having the wits, talent and fashion sense of Bollywood diva, Sonam Kapoor—ahh-mazing!
She added that it feels surreal as well as amazing knowing that her childhood bestie is about to embrace motherhood. While talking about her plethora of emotions, she said, “It’s always nice when you have known someone…since we were 10 or 11, I have known them, and it’s really nice that now she is becoming a mom herself.” We’re sure that Masaba is going to be an awesome maasi to the little munchkin and pamper them to the core.
As of now, the ladies have not had the chance to get together and celebrate, but that’s going to happen very soon. We wonder if Masaba and Sonam’s sister, Rhea Kapoor, are already planning a grand baby shower for the soon-to-be mamma.
Yeah, we know that we’re getting wayyyy too excited! But it’s baby Kapoor-Ahuja we’re talking about. Can you blame us?
