The loss of a loved one is one of the biggest tragedies a person can go through. There is no easy way to heal from it, but all you can do is move forward. Back in June this year, Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi lost her husband Raj Kaushal after he suffered a massive heart attack.
Following the tragedy, Mandira maintained her silence on the issue. However, recently she opened up on the grief that followed the demise of Raj and how it affected her.
She shared, “My motivation to keep working, striving and doing better… My greatest motivation is my children. Everything I do, I do for them. They are my reason to carry on, my reason to live, to do better, to be better. They are the reason that I have courage, strength, the reason for me to earn. I need to be a good parent for them”
Mandira also emphasised the importance of learning from the hardships in life. She said, “You learn more from your failures than you do from success. The downs give you perspective in life, that’s the way I look at challenges. I have had a lot that I have faced in my life and there is always growth and learning from them.”
What a strong woman! Through this difficult time, Mandira has been using social media to share her thoughts with her Insta fam. Just a little while ago, on the occasion of Raj’s birthday, she shared the sweetest post for him.
She wrote, “15th August: Was always a celebration. Independence Day 🇮🇳 and Rajs Birthday.. Happy Birthday Raji.. we miss you and hope that you are watching us and have our backs like you always did..The gaping void will never be filled. Here’s hoping you’re in a better place. Peaceful and surrounded by love.. ”
On the professional front, after staying away from the limelight for the past few months, Mandira recently made a telly comeback with the celebrity chat show, Love Laugh Live Show. Speaking about it, she said, “Every time I meet any of our guests, the line of questioning is so lovely, upbeat that anyone who is watching it can get that vibration. I feel it when I am hosting it. There is a lot that people have gone through in the last year and a half.”
Mandira is the living embodiment of the phrase, ‘when going gets tough, the tough get going!’ Kudos to her positivity and strength!
