India is the second worst-hit country by the coronavirus pandemic, just behind the US. Not just commoners, several people from the film and television industry have been infected by the novel virus too. Last month, shortly after Arjun shared the news, Malaika took to her Instagram handle and announced that she tested positive for the virus as well. She was home quarantined for 14 days and post the isolations she came back to work. Now that she is out and about, the actress has opened up about her battle with COVID-19.
Talking to a media portal, Malaika said that it was too difficult to go back to her normal life. “In those 14 days, I knew how weak I was, it was so difficult to go back to things I was doing every single day of my life,” she said. Speaking about getting back to her fitness routine, Malaika said, “I started jogging and running a little, just to see whether my body was weak, or my lungs were able to take it. If you have the energy, a little bit of yoga or breathing exercises are good. I also tried to religiously sit in the sun every morning for 40 minutes, and that really helped.”
