To ace a base like Malaika, prep your skin with a hydrating moisturiser. Then follow it up with a primer to get a silky-smooth canvas and diffuse the appearance of skin texture and fine lines giving a blurred finish. Next, buff a medium coverage foundation all over. Dot concealer to cover under-eye area and other blemishes or scars. Then use your foundation brush to blend it. Seal the deal with a light dusting of a setting powder to make sure the t-zone is velvety and shine-free.
Fill in any gaps in the brows with your eyebrow pencil and brush them in place with a spoolie. If you’re blessed with fuller eyebrows, you can just use a clear brow product to set it in place.
Apply an eye primer all over the eyelids to prime them. Then, apply a light brown transition shade on the outer crease of your eyes. Then grab a liquid silver shadow and apply it all over the eyelids starting from below the crease area. Apply a thin black liner along the top lash line and a dark brown shadow on the lower lash line to complete the look.
Add warmth to your face by using a bronzing powder across the temples, hairline and jawline, and sculpt the face by applying the cream contour along the hollows of your cheeks. Then, apply a shimmery blush to the apple of your cheeks.
Curl your lashes and coat them with a volumsing mascara. Alternatively, you can opt for a voluminous pair of falsies.
Just prep your lips, grab a brown lipstick and liner duo. Focus the liner on the outer corner of your lips. Fill it in with a brown-hued lipstick and don’t forget to coat it with a gloss.
If you’re blessed with natural curls, all you’ll need is a little salt spray to bring out your natural hair texture or a little pomade or mousse to lease layers with your finger. Alternatively, you can use a curling iron to create large waves rather than tight curls, use your fingers to loosen up your curls for a messy, wavy look and finish it off with a hair setting spray.
Try this Malaika-approved look to make a statement wherever you go!
