Bolder Graphic Liners
With face masks covering the pout, we looked at eye makeup styles for self-expression. This year, eye makeup trends will be bolder and sharper. Instead of playing it safe with a classic pair of black wings, consumers will be playing around with bright neon and pastel colours. Sharp lines, negative space liner, inverted cat eye- you’re gonna love it!
Berry Stained Lips
People who love wearing lipsticks have had a tough time last year. Especially with fiddly lipstick formulas, staining the face mask was inevitable. You won’t experience this again if you choose a lip stain instead. Lip stains won’t transfer to your mask easily and will give your pout a more natural look.
Glowy Dolphin Skin
Dolphin skin was a 2020 trend, but it is believed to become a bigger trend in 2021. While it does sound like a skincare trend, you need makeup to achieve this look. To amp up your glow, begin by applying illuminating primer to moisturised skin. Then, apply 2-3 drops of highlighter drops to your foundation, mix well and apply it all over your skin. After doing your base, mix liquid highlighter and blush product, and apply it to the high points of your face. Finish the look by applying some shimmery facial spritz!
Colourful & Bright Mascara
If you’re a fan of bright makeup, then this is a trend you will surely love. Bright blue or neon lashes, what would you pick? Yes, the black mascara will always be a beauty staple, but a coloured one is a powerful equivalent to red lipstick.
Yellow Eye Makeup
Due to yellow being the Pantone colour of 2021, it’s no surprise that we’ll see a lot of it on our Instagram feeds. The kind of shade that’s not warm or deep, but has a highlighter-yellow colour. If you wish to make a bold statement with their eyes, choose this shade of yellow. It’s so bright that it will instantly make you stand out from the crowd.
