Don’t you wish that life was just like a romance movie? Looking beautiful 24×7 and living life to the fullest all while happening to meet a special someone by chance. So romantic! That’s the general foundation of any cult-favourite romance film and I’m here for it. While I may not be cast in an actual movie SMH, there’s nothing stopping me from treating life like a scripted movie love story wherein I’m the main character playing the most compelling love interest ever.
And okay, there might be some BTS beauty prep I need in order to live up to my main character’s expectations, but then again every good film star does. That being said, I’m totally up for the idea of romanticising life in 2023 like the female main character I aspire to be. So, if my life were a romance film, here are some of the alluring makeup looks I would most definitely rock on repeat.
Makeup Looks I Would Rock If My Life Was A Romance Movie
Reading In A Coffee Shop
Who wouldn’t want to read an interesting book in a cosy coffee shop and secretly attract a like-minded potential SO? This soft and lived-in makeup aesthetic would be my go-to look for the scene. A milky matte brown eyeshadow smudged on the lids, brown kajal, freckles, and warm-toned blush, paired with a plump nude lip is giving beautiful bibliophile energy.
To An Art Gallery Event
Say I’m invited to an exclusive art gallery event; it is the perfect space to run into someone special while admiring and discussing the evocative art on display. A creative look that is still balanced, would be my choice of makeup and that’s why I’d wear rhinestones around my eyes paired with soft blush and rosy nude lips.
Exploring The City At Night
Maybe I ran into my crush on my way back home and instead of calling it a night, we make it a night to remember by exploring the city and being our own authentic selves. Dabbing highlighter on my eyelids to go with my already worn-in brown kajal would be ideal for this soiree. A swipe of tinted lip balm also fits this makeup aesthetic perfectly.
Attending A Fancy Ball
While there might not be any actual formal balls IRL, in my mind there is a scene where I get invited to one just so that I can show off my glamorous side. Shimmery lids to enhance the twinkle in my eyes paired with coral blush and a juicy lip will make all heads turn.
To The BFFs Wedding
Am I a bridesmaid? A maid-of-honour? Whatever it may be, I have the look ready and painted out. Intense gold sparkles on my eyes with soft brown liner on the lower lash lines and winged liner on the upper lash lines. Pair that with a red blush and it’s a romantic wedding makeup look right there.
For The First Dinner Date
First impressions on the first date are everything. This gorgeous ’90s-inspired makeup look featuring red lip liner to define the lip shape and a nude gloss for volume, is date night goals. I’d also go in for the most skin-like dewy base and a touch of shimmer on my lids.
Would you rock these romantic makeup looks too? Go on and be the main character in your own life’s movie.
