After a brief hiatus of four years, the makers of Made In Heaven returned with season two. As expected, it turned out to be an absolute treat! From certain heartbreaking scenes to stunning wedding wardrobes of the brides, it gave us everything we had been waiting for. Talking about weddings, MIH star Sobhita Dhulipala revealed plans for her own wedding and we are gushing.
Sobhita who plays a role of a wedding planner, Tara Khanna, spilled beans on how she wants to get married. While talking to a leading portal, Sobhita shared, “All I know is that I want a lot of Telugu-ness to be in it. I’m from Andhra Pradesh. So, I’m quite attached to that culture”.
Further revealing if she too wants a big fat celebrity wedding, Sobita shared, “Growing up, I’ve seen my cousins have weddings with those kinds of rituals and cultural nuances. I would like these things to be a part of my wedding too. I like that sense of traditionality. That aside, I don’t know if I want it to be big and grand or intimate and close-knit.”
She further revealed that her sister’s wedding made her realise how overwhelming the whole experience can be. Sobhita adds, “We had family friends, relatives, neighbours and well-wishers to give their regards. You know that you’re going to enter a new phase of your life and it will hopefully be beautiful. But that shift and shedding of one layer brought so much of anxiety. On the surface, you’ve to be pleasant because they all mean well but there are so many layers and emotions you go through. At weddings, the atmosphere is so charged and high on energy. It took me a while to actually process it because it was a blur and very hectic.”
Sobhita’s character Tara has definitely given us some very impeccable wedding moments in the show. Now we wonder if playing a wedding planner will come in handy for her IRL too! That said, we totes can’t wait to see her as a traditional Telegu bride for real.
