Kriti Sanon Opens Up About Being Asked To Change Her Appearance & We’re Furious

Let’s get one thing straight–body shaming someone is never OK, even if the target is a public figure. However, people are still prone to criticising the appearances of others, including those of celebrities. Recently, actress Kriti Sanon opened up about being body-shamed and the details will shock you.

During a recent interview, Kriti revealed, “There had been times when I was told to line my lips to (make them) look fuller. It didn’t make sense to me. I was also told that my nostrils flare up a little bit when I smile.” She further added that her nostrils do flare up a little at times when she smiles or laughs and that’s normal. She stated, “I am not a plastic doll and have never felt the need to change anything (about myself).”

That’s not all, she also revealed that she’d been told to change her smile. She said, “People told me ‘You have gummy smile’. That I am born with, I can’t do anything about it. These are little things that people don’t say directly ki ‘yeh change karo (change this)’. I feel like those things everyone hears.”

The Mimi actress even shared that someone had asked her to reduce the size of her waist as well, which is the most ridiculous thing we’ve ever heard. Kriti said that she doesn’t pay much attention to such people, and ignores the unsolicited comments. TBH, we think that’s really sensible.

How about taking a moment to think about the consequences of your words the next time? As for Kriti, we think that she’s perfect just the way she is, and are so proud of her for opening up about her ordeal. More power to you, Kriti!
