The wait is finally over! Karan Johar is back with Koffee With Karan Season 7, and NGL, the first episode was everything we hoped for! Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt spilled some major beans about their personal and professional lives and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Apart from all the shocking revelations, there was one that took everyone by surprise. It was, of course, realising that Alia and Ranveer were total BFFs!
That’s right–it was on this KWK episode that we witnessed the pakki dosti between the two. From having adorable nicknames for each other, to learning that Ranveer cried at the news of Alia’s proposal, they gave us major #BestieGoals! Besides sharing a warm rapport, Alia also revealed that her Tuttu helped her with her most challenging role to date—Gangubai Kathiawadi.
“Two days before that (the shooting of the song, Dholida), I was physically exhausted. I called him up and said, ‘Ranveer, how do you tell yourself you’ll be able to do it?’. Because I was physically tired,” Alia recalled.
She further added, “He said no baby. You don’t give up now, like come on. You have to believe in yourself and he gave me solid energy.” Awww. Isn’t that what all BFFs do? Come to your rescue when you need them?
Alia also told us that Ranveer was in fact present on the film set when she performed her song. While she felt the pressure, with Ranveer’s encouragement as well as his energy on sets, Alia said she delivered a performance SLB was satisfied with. NGL, we’re totally rooting for this friendship!
