Television couple Kishwer Merchant and Suyyash Rai recently announced their first pregnancy which had us jumping with joy. The Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani fame couple took to Instagram to share an adorable picture announcing the arrival of their first baby in August 2021. And of course, the parents-to-be seem to be over the moon.
“You can now stop asking ‘when are you guys gonna have a baby’ Coming Soon .. #august2021 #sukishkababy,” read Kishwer’s caption. But it was daddy dearest, Suyyash’s caption that had us cracking up. “Mai tere bacche ka baap banne wala hun @kishwersmerchantt ! Coming this August,” it read. The couple also shared an adorable baby announcement video.
Soon to be mommy Kishwer opened up about the pregnancy in a recent interview and it’s as cute as it can get. Revealing that the baby was ‘unplanned’, Kishwer said that she and Suyyash’s parents wanted the couple to have a baby for a long time now. The actress further shared that she missed her periods for two months straight without even realising that she could be pregnant.
“Suyyash and my parents have wanted this since long and were quite after us to have a baby, but yet it’s an unplanned baby. I had skipped my period in December and I was feeling very tired that month. But when I did the skip again in January, I started recollecting if I had done a skip in December as well. In that confusion, I just decided to get a test done. And lo! I found I was pregnant,” said the actress.
Well, that must’ve been one hell of a surprise!
Expressing her excitement, Kishwer shared that she feels blessed to have conceived naturally. She also revealed that they have picked names already. “Suyyash and I are extremely thrilled. It is a blessing to conceive at this age naturally. Suyyash has decided a name for the son and I have decided a name for the daughter,” said Kishwer.
How adorable is that!
For the unversed, Kishwer and Suyyash met on the sets of Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani in 2010 and started dating. After being together for almost six years, they tied the knot in 2016. Kishwer and Suyyash also did a stint in Bigg Boss Season 9. And just a few days ago the couple announced that they’re expecting their first baby.
Unplanned or not, we’re happy for the soon-to-be mommy and daddy. And we can’t wait to meet the newest member of their family!
