Coming In Hot: Kim K’s Makeup Look Is What You Need For Insta-Glamm!

No one makes 41 look as good as Kim Kardashian! What’s not to like about her?  With her eponymous makeup line and a penchant for perpetual risk-taking, Kim continues to rewrite the rules of her own beauty manual, which over the years, has gained her a cult following. She’s the woman who made both – glam teams and glam rooms a thing and introduced us to everything from the freaky (looking at you, vampire facials) to fab (the Kardashian contour, hello), there’s no denying that she’s been at the absolute top of her game the last couple of years.

To keep her fans on their toes, the reality star-turned-entrepreneur keeps blessing our feed with seriously-glam beauty looks. POV: Kimmy looked gorgeous as she posed for the KKW fragrance campaign, and her makeup was hella on point. The look proves that the star loves a healthy dose of bronzer, highlighter, powder “baking”, and lip liner. With the year-end celebrations around the corner and endless RSVPs commanding your attention, Kim K’s to-die-for-makeup look teamed with a ‘90s-inspired nude lip serves as a major inspiration across the board. If you have an event on your social calendar that requires a more-is-more makeup look, you better get practising now!

The Step-By-Step Guide To Recreate Kim’s Makeup Look

Step 1: For The Picture-Perfect Base

No matter your makeup skills – cloud skin like Kim’s is super easy to achieve. The key here is to use a few soft-focus and luminous products in conjunction with your skin-perfecting routine. We recommend using this luminescent moisturiser on your skin that gives it a hefty dose of hydration and a radiant glow. Then follow it up with a primer to get a silky-smooth canvas and diffuse the appearance of skin texture and fine lines giving a blurred finish. Wait for at least 5 to 10 minutes to ensure the products really sink into your skin. Then, with a damp sponge, apply a medium to full coverage foundation on the face, blended down to your neck. Pat and blend a creamy concealer under the eyes and on any scars and blemishes.

Step 2: Brows Before Bros

Fill in any gaps in the brows with your eyebrow pencil and brush them in place with a spoolie. You can also use a clear brow product to set the stray hairs in place. To make your brow more defined, use a lighter shade of concealer on the brow bone and above the brow.

Step 3: Ape The Stellar Eye Makeup

Apply an eye primer all over the eyelids to ensure your makeup stays put all night long. With a dense angled brush, apply a nude brown shade along the eyelids, resembling a soft cut crease. Then, take a flat shader brush to apply some creamy white eyeshadow on the centre of your eyelids. Apply a black kohl liner along the top lash line. Then, take a brown shadow and use it to smoke out the lower lash line.

Step 4: The Only Drama We Enjoy (Is On Our Lashes)

Curl your lashes and coat them with a volumizing mascara. If you are exacting, stick on for a voluminous pair of falsies.

Step 5: For That Gram-Worthy Contouring

Take a darker shade of concealer and use it to sculpt your face. Apply it across the temples, hairline and jawline, and along the hollows of your cheeks. Use a damp sponge to press and dab the creams into the skin. Next, apply a thick layer of translucent powder underneath your eyes and cheekbones and let it sit on your skin for 5 to 10 minutes, so your body heat can set your foundation and concealer underneath. Finally, pop a blush on the apple of your cheeks.

Step 6: To Give Off Some Major 90s Vibe

Ready to take a time machine back to the ‘90s? Take 5 to prep your lips. Pick a liner that’s 2 to 3 shades darker than your lips and focus it on the outer corner before lightly feathering it around the rest of the mouth. Fill it in with a nude pink lippie and that’s it! All you need is a great liner-lipstick duo to master this old school lip look.
