Koffee With Karan has given us countless memories to cherish this season of his crowd-favorite chat show. For instance, the touching stories shared by Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal, who graced the iconic couch in the newest episode. They discussed a whole range of topics, from their brilliant work on-screen to their marital lives. The duo also made some revelations about their relationships that seemed both, honest and genuine.
However, the one revelation that caught our attention, in particular, was Kiara Advani talking about how Sidharth Malhotra surprised her with a dreamy proposal in Rome.
The actor revealed how she asked him to get permission from her parents before they decided to tie the knot. They soon planned a vacation with their families.
“When we decided and told each other that this is what we wanted for the rest of our lives, I told him that all this is fine but you have to speak to my parents – let’s do it the right way. My mum, unfortunately, had COVID, so couldn’t travel with us. So, I went with his parents.”
While she knew he would go down on one knee during this vacation, it did come as a shock to her.
“It did come as a surprise because I didn’t know where or when on this trip was he going to propose. In my head, I was like I hope he proposes because now I have built it up in my head.”
The actor then revealed that even though she was tired because of traveling and wasn’t expecting it on the same night, she loved everything he had planned for her.
“He planned a candlelight dinner and later, he takes me for a walk. Suddenly, the violinist came out of the bushes and his nephew was sweetly taking our pictures from the bushes. Then, he went down on his knee and proposed to me. I was not expecting it that night and I got so overwhelmed. He then started saying lines from Shershaah like, dilli ka seedha-saadha launda hoon. Then, I burst out laughing. It was really sweet. The best part is that our family was there and we celebrated with his parents, brother and sister.”
Later, they video-called the host, Karan Johar and her parents, and gave them the good news.
