More than two years ago, Sushant Singh Rajput left this world and to date, we have not been able to accept this reality completely. He was a phenomenal actor and his death will remain a huge loss to the entertainment industry. SSR made his Bollywood debut with Kai Po Che and over the course of his career, he proved that he would never sign a movie just for the heck of it. He would only do substantial films that had a good message and exciting plots. Recently, his Dhoni: An Untold Story co-star, Kiara Advani, shared some sweet anecdotes about SSR that proved that he was not just an amazing actor, but a great human too.
During an interaction with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBiceps, Kiara revealed that Sushant’s struggles and career graph blew away her mind and she thought that a biopic should be made on him. We have to say, we really, really want her words to come true.
Kiara said that she and Sushant once pulled an all-nighter sharing stories about their lives. “We started the shoot in Aurangabad, and we were shooting a song and a few scenes. I remember we must have packed up around eight o’clock and we had a 4 am flight. And we thought, let’s just pull an all-nighter. That’s when I actually spent time with Sushant, and we got chatting,” she said.
Sushant had opened up to Kiara about when he was a background dancer and did trivial roles in big projects. He also shared how he had decided to switch his profession and pursue acting after studying engineering. She added, “It’s so interesting because he shared his journey, how Dhoni happened for him, and generally his life story, from being a backup dancer behind Preity Zinta, how he was an engineer, and he always had those massive books he was always reading. He was very curious about life, about people, and very driven.”
Not going to lie, but we would have loved to be a part of this interaction and hear Sushant’s stories as well. Kiara said she was so amazed by his life that she wanted a biopic to be made on him. “I remember by the end of it, I told him ‘someday someone will make a biopic on you only’ because his story and his journey were very very interesting,” she said.
Yes, we want to see Sushant’s true biopic as well. But, the movie should do complete justice to his story and be authentic. We hope Bollywood is listening!
