Apart from making waves for her fashionable #OOTDs, Kiara Advani is constantly in the limelight for her choice of roles. Currently, the actress is basking in the success of her superhit film Shershaah, and her acting skills are being appreciated by all. If you’ve seen the movie, then you’d know that despite having a short role, Kiara has managed to make her mark.
What we like best about her, is that she is constantly experimenting and surprising us with fun projects. Remember her risqué picture from Dabboo Ratnani’s 2020 calendar, where she was covering herself with a leaf? Now, that was something! Unfortunately, the actress also received a lot of flak for her bold move. We’ve been waiting for her to share her thoughts on it, and now finally, Kiara has spoken about the topic.
Kiara recently appeared on Arbaaz Khan’s show Pinch, and the two spoke at length about her controversial pic for the calendar.
The show’s host scrolled down to the stunning picture on her Insta, and read out several comments from it. He read, “2020 mein bas yahi ek cheeze achi hui thi (This was the only good thing in 2020).” To which Kiara replied, “I will take that as a compliment.”
He read out another comment, “Kaash! Yeh pata bakri kha jati (I wish a goat would eat the leaf). To which the actress responded with, “Eww”. Check out the picture here!
Arbaaz also asked her about the entire incident. To which the actress answered, “Mujhe khud pata nahi hai yeh kaha se kaha gaya (I don’t know how it escalated). It was Dabboo…He came up with this concept of leafy shoot. It was very aesthetically shot.”
Kiara also mentioned that she was worried about how the trolls would affect her family. She said, “I have younger cousins, they’re on social media and sometimes I worry about them. I refrain from posting their birthday pictures on my handle, as I don’t want my followers or trolls to attack them.” She also explained that she did not want her family to get trolled because of her choices ,which makes total sense.
Dear trolls, the next time you target someone, please remember that online bullying can have a severe effect on a person’s mental health. If can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all!
Also, here’s hoping Kiara keeps up with her fab work!
