Khushi Kapoor made headlines when she surprised us all by making her Instagram account public, but there seems to be a reason behind it. It looks like late actor Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor’s younger daughter, Khushi, is all set to make her big Bollywood debut.
Boney Kapoor has revealed that Khushi will follow the footsteps of her mother. He shared that Khushi wants to become an actor, so she will make her B-town debut and added that an announcement will be made ‘soon’. Well….we can’t wait to see this star kid on the big screen!
But wait, that’s not all! Get this, Khushi will not be launched by daddy dearest. Boney revealed that his daughter will be launched by someone that he respects. Speaking to a leading daily, Boney said, “I have the resources, but I would rather have someone else launch her because I am her father and one tends to get indulgent. You can’t afford to do that as a filmmaker and nor is it good for the actor.”
“I would want Khushi to find her own footing. She will be launched by someone I respect and someone I feel secure and safe about,” he added.
Boney spoke about the time he launched his brother Sanjay Kapoor and shared that he was ‘an indulgent brother’. Boney had launched Sanjay Kapoor along with Tabu in the film Prem in 1995. The theatrical release of this film was delayed a number of times and when it did happen, the film failed to impress the audience.
“Anil (Kapoor) was still an established actor, so it didn’t affect him much, but I think I became an indulgent brother with Sanjay when he made his entry into films,” said the producer.
For the unversed, Khushi had signed up for an acting course at New York Film Academy in 2019. In fact, during BFFs with Vogue Season 3, Khushi had opened up about her dream debut and shared that she would blindly follow Karan Johar, but she would let her father choose her costar.
