Kartik Aryan became a part of the biggest Bollywood controversy of 2021. It all started when he was dropped from Karan Johar’s Dostana 2. Remember when the production house had officially announced on social media that they are recasting after shooting almost half of the film? “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence—we will be recasting ‘Dostana 2’, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon,” the statement read.
Soon after, things went downhill when rumours of Kartik getting ousted from Red Chillies Entertainment’s Goodbye Freddie started doing the rounds. And then in a shocking turn of event, the grapevine was again buzzing that Kartik had lost another potential project. Ever since then, netizens are convinced that the actor was being targeted by the ‘nepotism gang’. recently, Kartik opened up about the entire matter, and said, “There is nothing like that. Nobody is bothering me. Award le ke jaa raha hoon (I’m taking home an award).”
This year is going to be a great one for Kartik as the actor has plenty of interesting films in the pipeline. He’ll next be seen in Captain India and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. He is also working on Shehzada with Kriti Sanon, which gets released in September and Satyanarayan Ki Katha, which releases in November.
