Who says we can only wear makeup when we’re stepping out or going to a party? I, for one, have actually been using this time to try new trends, the latest being colourful eyeshadow. If it goes well, my Insta followers are spammed with selfies and if not, no one is going to see me anyway!
Karisma Kapoor seems to be loving trying out fun makeup looks during this isolation period too. Recently, she posted a selfie from brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan’s 50th birthday celebrations, where she rocked a shimmery blue eyeliner and we are loving it!

Step 1: Prep Your Skin
We’ve told you time and again that prepping your skin is the key to looking glowy. Spend time moisturising your skin, use a serum that works well for your skin type and massage the products well. Use a face roller to really pamper yourself and the radiance from within will speak for itself.
Step 2: Complete Your Base
Gone are the days that were chasing after flawless skin, caked up with product over product. Now, we want the skin to look like skin and for that, a luminous foundation is the best. Use a moisturising primer so that your makeup lasts longer and bounce some foundation on your skin with a makeup sponge. This will give you even coverage and also soak up excess product. If you have oily skin, lightly dust loose powder all over to mattify the look, but don’t go overboard–we want those cheeks to look dewy.

Step 3: Let The Eyes Do The Talking
Karisma has kept it simple yet made a statement, all thanks to her blue eyeliner. For a similar effect, prep your eyelids with some concealer and use a brown nude shade on the crease to add definition before applying the liner. Use a smudger brush to spread it on the upper lash line and wing it out ever so slightly. Use black kohl in the upper and lower lash line to complete the look. As a final step, coat some mascara and voila, your eyes are done!
Step 4: Some Colour To The Cheeks Never Hurt Anyone
The Raja Hindustani actor kept it natural and didn’t heavily contour or bronze her face but she did add a subtle hint of blush to the apples of her cheeks. For a flushed look like this, a cheek tint will work better than a powdered blush so don’t be afraid to go all out.
Step 5: Pucker Up!
As a final step, put on a peachy-nude lipstick just like Karisma and be ready to rock the night away. If you’re going for a party, we’d suggest a liquid lipstick so that it doesn’t budge as you sip on your fave cocktails.
