When Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor got married, the media went into a frenzy. And fans were super stoked, but when Taimur was born, the excitement levels went through the roof. Now, this royal couple is everyone’s fav family and we just can’t get enough of their airport looks, gym looks, and happy candids.
Talking about her marriage, begum Kareena Kapoor Khan recently admitted that she didn’t react with her complete enthusiasm when Saif proposed for the first time. And the second time he proposed, she was still unsure about it.
In an interview with an entertainment publication, Bebo was asked if the rumours about rebuffing the Dil Chahta Hai star’s marriage proposal were true. She said that Saif first brought up the possibilities of marriage while filming Tashan. She said that they were filming in Greece when he spoke to her about spending the rest of his life with her.
The Chameli actor confessed, “He did tell me that ‘I think we should get married’. He told me that in Greece and he told me that in Ladakh as well. And at that time I was like ‘I don’t know because I don’t know you’. So it was not really a ‘no’ but it was more like a ‘I want to know you better’.”
She even added that it was the best decision of her life.
When asked about her decision to continue to work after getting married and becoming a mother, she said, “I was so clear about the fact that my professional life is different from my personal life. It can’t be a disease to fall in love, is it? It can’t be death. I told Saif, I said ‘listen I’m never going to stop working’, and he was like ‘you must do that’.”
In a recent interview with a film critic, Saif Ali Khan was asked if he feels threatened by Kareena Kapoor’s professional success, especially since his own films haven’t fared well at the box office. He said, “No, no, no. I mean I think we’re far too realistic for that kind of thing. One understands that but no we aren’t as chauvinist…you know things change, things go up and down and things happen. At one point in time somebody is more successful than the other and the other time both people are having a great time. But I have never measured life in those terms. In fact, the success of my life has got nothing to do with box office. It’s to do precisely what’s happening at home.”
Saifeena even did a talk show together, which was hosted by Bebo herself. When asked what it was like having a conversation with her hubby on camera she said that was weird at first to be talking about modern marriages with Saif but they did end up having a great conversation.
Even if it some time for Saif to impress Bebo, it was totes worth it. I mean, there would be no Tim otherwise and personally I don’t want to live in a world like that! 😂
