Gen Z might know Karan Singh Grover as a television actor, but every ’90s kid remembers him solely as Dr. Armaan Mallik from Dill Mill Gayye! He was every girl’s dream, and we all wanted to marry him at some point.
After the show ended, Karan ended up marrying Jennifer Winget, who played Dr. Riddhima Gupta on the show. Their marriage, however, did not last long, and Karan later found love in Bipasha Basu, whom he met on the sets of their film Alone. While Karan and Bipasha’s story may appear to be a coincidence, it is far from it! What if we told you that the actor actually predicted his marriage in Dill Mill Gayye? Yes, you heard that right!
Karan Singh Grover, aka Armaan Mallik, manifested his future with Bipasha Basu in one of the show’s episodes that aired in 2007. In the episode, Armaan attempts to make his love interest, Riddhima, jealous by bringing up other girls in front of her. He is seen telling his friend Dr. Atul (played by Pankit Thaker) that he is obsessed with Bipasha in a playful chat. The conversation ends with him saying, “Agar Bipasha jaisi ladki mil jaaye na, toh life set ho jaaye!”

Little did Karan Singh Grover know that nine years later, he would be married to Bipasha Basu, and their lives would actually be set with a baby girl as well! Now this is what we call the power of manifestation. Maybe Armaan Mallik only said it to get Riddhima’s reaction, but Karan Singh Grover meant every word!
When Karan & Bipasha Manifested Their Daughter
Karan Singh Grover has always been spiritual and a big believer in the law of attraction. His marriage was apparently not the only thing he manifested. He even manifested having a daughter. Bipasha stated in a live chat with Neha Dhupia that before their daughter Devi was even born, Karan and she would have vivid dreams about having a baby girl. As a result, when she became pregnant, the couple was convinced they were having a girl!
In an interview that Bipasha gave when she was pregnant, she said, “We believe in manifestation. From the time we have wanted a child, we have hoped for a baby girl. I know a baby is a beautiful gift, and we are supposed to be in acceptance of any gender, and the bigger picture is that, but we call our baby ‘she’. We believe it’s a she, and we have believed that since the time we decided to have a baby.”
Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu’s story is the kind that can make even the strongest hearts melt. We hope the couple continues to manifest happiness in their lives.
