A Family Affair: Kangana Ranaut Kicks Off Shaadi Season With Little Brother’s Engagement

Shaadi season is officially upon us, and almost everyone you know is busy prepping outfits, practising dance moves and buying presents for the wedding of their friends and family. Kangana Ranaut is no different–her brother, Aksht, recently got engaged, and her team, as well as her sister Rangoli, shared pictures from the celebration on social media. From the pictures and videos, we can tell that it was an intimate gathering of friends and family. 

Kangana looked stunning in a golden Banarasi saree, which she paired with a pastel pink blouse. She wore her iconic curls straight and accessorised her look with a statement choker. Isn’t she a sight to behold?

Rangoli, Kangana’s sister and manager, shared several pictures from the event. She shared a picture of the smiling couple, and captioned it “Dear friends please bless them for their new beginnings”. She also shared a solo picture of her future sister-in-law, Ritu, and remarked, “Ritu looked gorgeous.”

Rangoli had earlier introduced fans to Ritu when she posted a picture of her cutting a cake on her birthday. A lot of fans asked whether Ritu was pahadi, like Kangana’s family. Rangoli revealed that not only was Ritu from Haryana, but this was also the first intercaste wedding in their family. She wrote, “Friends are asking if Ritu is pahadi, no she is from Haryana, she is from Jaat community and we are Rajputs, first inter caste marriage of our family, didn’t I tell you all Aksht is a rule breaker ❤❤”

She had also announced the couple’s engagement on Twitter earlier this month, and explained how happy their family was about the union. She tweeted, “Such a great time for our family, Kangana is planning a grand engagement party for them, Ritu is a doctor and we are so happy our brother a one woman man kept his words and his promise to the girl he dated. Aksht from his childhood is emotionally dependent on women in his life, his mother and his sisters, we gave him only two rules to live by…1) do one thing that makes you money and do many things that make you happy….Never break a girl’s heart and keep the promise that you make…he followed these two rules to perfection and became our hero, we are so fortunate to have him (sic)“

Besides pictures of the couple and their family and friends, Kangana’s team also shared a video of the group performing a traditional pahadi dance, called Natti. Fans were delighted to get some insight into Kanaga’s heritage. And, as usual, her moves were as graceful as ever!
