Proving once again that the ‘Future Is Female!’, Kangana Ranaut is all set to share a stage with fellow inspiring women like Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey. The Manikarnika actress has been invited by the Gandhian Society in the USA for a massive exhibition in August 2018. To be held in New Jersey, the event focuses on having conversations on Gandhi ideology and philosophy for the modern audience. The actress has always been an active spokesperson when it comes to building a better society and we are glad that she will be the voice of Gandhi at this international event.
Talking about her involvement in the event Kangana said, “For me, it’s always been about the impact you make on society and how you contribute to it. Sharing the stage with Michelle and Oprah will be inspiring. I’ve never been anybody’s fan but I admire and idolise women like Oprah. Once I get back to Mumbai, I will know exactly what I will be talking on and for how long, depending on which I will prepare my speech. He was a sensible, intelligent man which is not very common“.
The two-day exhibition will include interactive museums, workshops and a Khadi expo. According to Dhiren Parikh, a volunteer with Gandhian Society, “The idea is to ensure that Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts, philosophies, and lifestyle is available to Americans in a contemporary way“. After wrapping up the two-day event, the exhibition is scheduled to visit six different universities in the US. All in all, it’s going to be a good week filled with open sharing of ideas and enlightening conversations.
Seeing Kangana standing tall beside some of the most inspiring women in the world and talking about one of our nation’s icons is going to be a proud moment, indeed!
