Arz kiya hai…ishq ne Ghalib nikamma kar diya, warna hum bhi aadmi the kaam ke! Well, what can we say? Bigg Boss love stories have got us in a shayarana mood today. You see, we love BB romance, we really do. But, we feel that it’s an absolute shame when the couples lose track of the game because of their pyaar-shyaar.
The reality show has given us several jodis to root for over the years, but we have often seen their emotions ruining their gameplay. They have made biased decisions and spoilt their alliances because of their partners—either out of love or jealousy.
Here are the Bigg Boss couples who could have played better in their respective seasons
Tejasswi Prakash & Karan Kundrra
Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra’s love story started on quite a sweet note. The two gradually realised their feelings and fell for each other. But, there’s no other way to say that their relationship is ruining their game. While both the contestants are hella strong and have winner qualities, together they’re simply a mess. They glorify each other’s mistakes, are often disrespectful to each other and let their jealousy get better of them. Basically, they’re doing everything, except playing their individual game.
Abhinav Shukla & Rubina Dilaik
Don’t get us wrong, we absolutely love #Rubinav. The couple gave their marriage a second chance on the show and we’re glad about it. But, we believe that they should have come separately in different seasons. We couldn’t see Abhinav Shukla’s true personality until it was too late. He played the game more as a husband than a gharwala and we think that didn’t work in his favour.
Gauahar Khan & Kushal Tandon
While Gauahar Khan won Bigg Boss 7 trophy, she had quite a tough time on the show. Probably, it could have been avoided if she wasn’t in a relationship with Kushal Tandon. The actor took several decisions that were problematic and unfortunately, that affected Gauahar’s gameplay as well. Half of the time, we saw her talking sense into him and justifying his actions. She even left the BB house midway along with her ex-boyfriend. Honestly, while we laud her loyalty, we think her stay would have been better if she was single on the show.
Paras Chhabra & Mahira Sharma
When Paras Chhabra entered Bigg Boss 13, he had a high chance of taking the trophy home. He had done several reality shows in the past and knew how to win his viewers’ hearts. But, he got distracted too fast, too soon. His friendship with Mahira Sharma deviated him from his ultimate goal and he gradually became a king-maker instead of a king himself.
Shamita Shetty & Raqesh Bapat
Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat did not have it easy on Bigg Boss OTT. While the two loved each other, they could not handle their emotions well on the show. The former’s dominating nature and her partner’s ‘I-don’t-know-what-to-do’ attitude got on their fans’ nerves. Well, that cost both of them the winner’s trophy.
Tanisha Mukerji & Arman Kohli
Tanisha Mukerji could have easily become the winner of Bigg Boss 7 had she stood up for herself in front of her connection, Arman Kohli. The actress’s fans hated how she let him talk to her disrespectfully and wished that she had simply played her own individual game.
Miesha Iyer & Ieshaan Sehgaal
Miesha Iyer and Ieshaan Sehgaal were the first lovebirds of Bigg Boss 15. While we adore these two, we wish they had focussed a little more on the game. It seemed that they were on the show only to be a couple and that’s not what we expect from BB contestants.
Our only advice to future BB couples—don’t fall in love, grow in it.
