Fame is a hard pill to swallow and singer Justin Bieber reached his peak with the hit single Baby when he was only 13 years old. The singer was discovered by talent manager, Scooter Braun, after he watched Justin’s cover versions of songs on YouTube. Usher Raymond later connected with him and signed him to Island Def Jam Records, leading to the start of a successful music career. At 18, while he had “access to millions of dollars” and a growing fan following, Justin became reckless as he wasn’t “ready to take responsibility.”
In his latest Instagram post, the singer opened up about being disrespectful towards women in the past, his anger issues and “doing pretty hard drugs”.
“Hope you find time to read this it’s from my heart,” read his caption. Here is everything the singer had to share.
Justin admitted to abusing all his relationships and wrote that he “became resentful, disrespectful to women, and angry. I became distant to everyone who loved me and I was hiding behind a shell of a person that I had become.”
But, what goes around comes around. While he’s wronged many, he admits that with the support of his friends, his faith and his marriage to wife Hailey Rhode Beiber (American model and television personality) in 2018, he’s been able to get a second chance at life. And the 25-year-old singer is now ready to apologise.
In March this year, the singer announced that he is taking a break from music. In his Instagram post, he suggested that he has been unhappy on his tours. He wrote, “I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that. You pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.”
