Want To Start Working After Class 12th? These Government Jobs Are Accepting Applications

There are jobs both in the public and private sectors that accept applications from students right out of school.

Another added benefit is that now almost all application forms are online, so you don’t need to stress about the hassle of filling a physical form and posting it. So if you’re looking for the same, here are some public sector jobs that are looking to hire right now.

1. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)

The RRB is currently looking to recruit for over 1 lakh vacancies in their various cells like the Central, Southern, Northern and Western Railway. The posts open are such as helpers, hospital attendants, track maintainers, porter, and gateman. Indian citizens who’ve passed class 10th exams or ITI from a recognised institute are eligible to apply. The applications for the same started in March 2019 and the last date to apply is April 12, 2019.

Selection Process: The selection process for the same is based on Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Document Verification (DV).

How To Apply: One application needs to be submitted by the candidate to the RRB of their choosing for all posts that are open through this website.

Estimated Starting Salary: Initial pay of Rs 18,000 plus allowances.

2. Staff Selection Committee

The Staff Selection Committee, Government of India will hold the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL 10+2) Examination between July 1 and July 26, 2019. This examination is for recruitment for posts like Postal Assistants, Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators (DEO) and Lower Divisional Clerks, Junior Secretariat Assistant in Different Ministries, departments and Offices of the Government of India, The registration for the same opened on March 5, 2019 and the last day to apply is April 5, 2019.

Selection Process: The selection process will consist of a Computer-based Written Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination. You can apply for your preferred job here

How To Apply: The eligible Indian nationals can apply through the online application mode only through the SSC online portal.

Estimated Starting Salary: Starts at Rs 5,200.

3. Ministry Of Defence

The Ministry of Defence has invited applications from Indian citizens to recruit for the Group ‘C’ posts in the ASC units of 71 Sub Area/HQ Northern Command. The candidates need to apply within 21 days of the date of publication of the notice i.e. March 2, 2019. This makes the last day to send your application March 22, so hurry!

Selection Process: A three-step process involving a Written Test, Medical Fitness Test, and Document Verification.

How To Apply: Eligible candidates need to submit their application through registered, speed or ordinary post in the format prescribed in the DAVP notice.

4. Employee State Insurance Corporation

ESIC has invited applications for Stenographer across India with a total of 1263 vacancies. For the job, the applicants need to have basic computer skills. The selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India. The last date of application is April 15, 2019. 

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of the written exam along with a Computer Skill Test & Stenography Test.
