The Ambani wedding is pretty much all that the internet and I have been obsessed with in the last couple of days. As Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot, we all watched – their outfits, their makeup, wedding hairstyles, and of course, the over-the-top jewels.
If you missed out and need some inspiration for the upcoming wedding season, or just want to ogle and drool and the most exquisite jewellery, scroll on.
Radhika Merchant
Layers of teardrop diamonds with a statement teardrop emerald bigger than an almond? Stunning!
Whoever said ‘Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’, was referring to Radhika’s 4-layered diamond choker, I presume. Fresh, fun, flamboyant and so flirty!
Counting sheep is for amateurs. I’m going to try and count the number of diamonds on this extravagant necklace she wore for her pheras when I’m unable to sleep next time!
For her reception, the new bride wore a statement diamond set that really demanded all eyes on it.
Nita Mukesh Ambani
Mrs. Ambani was dressed to the nines for her son’s wedding.
Known for her love for emeralds, she sported this stunning layered diamond necklace with teardrop emeralds and matching earrings from Manish Malhotra Jewellery.
Dubbed the “Mickey Mouse” emeralds by Diet Sabya, this teardrop emerald necklace with a splash of diamonds, has been worn by Nita and Isha on multiple occasions.
There’s no such thing as too many emeralds and here’s proof. The baju band, bangles, neckpiece, earrings, ring, and maang tikka (that look a lot more than 50 carats each) were all designed by ace jewellery designer Viren Bhagat.
A piece exclusively designed by herself and made with diamonds Mrs. Ambani collected over the years, this exquisite piece was designed by Kantilal Chhotalal.
Another one by Kantilal Chhotalal, this piece too was made from gems collected by Mrs. Ambani. The 100-carat yellow diamond with an 80-carat emerald-cut solitaire drop is one for the history books!
Her next choice was a Navratna necklace with an emerald, ruby, sapphire, and yellow diamond. Thanos would be SO jealous! 👀
Isha Ambani Piramal
For her brother’s wedding, Isha played her part as the most stylish, put-together, and hands-on sister. But like her mother, Isha seems to have a soft spot for statement jewellery.
Isha’s Navratna necklace was quite unlike her mother’s. Made from gems in different colours, to represent the 9 different planets, it took Nita Ambani 3 years to collect all the pieces for this one created by Viren Bhagat.
If you need a break from emeralds, Isha’s ruby necklace will soothe your eyes. I counted 23 rubies on the necklace alone!
This piece, by Kantilal Chhotalal, called the “Garden of Love” was created with rare coloured diamonds Nita Ambani collected over the years.
She was dripping in diamonds while wearing this custom Schiaparelli saree (also the first of its kind)!
And styled it with a matching diamond headpiece with 10-karat diamonds for her slicked-back bun!
There’s no such thing as too many pearls and Isha knows that all too well. I love how edgy these strings of pearls looked with a diamond necklace and matching maang tikka.
Shloka Mehta Ambani
If you look close enough, you’ll see that a bunch of Shloka’s diamonds are heart-shaped! Crafted by Kantilal Chhotalal, this set is truly magnificent.
Trust the Ambanis to make Kundan sets look luxurious too!
I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure I can’t afford a single rock from their collection. Nothing quite as humbling as a billionaire wedding!
