What’s cooking between Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer? Well, to understand that, let us rewind a little. The date is May 21, 2021, and it is a good, good day. We finally watched Friends: The Reunion after waiting for 17 years and it was more epic than we could have imagined. There were many instances during the two-hour episode that made us super emotional and nostalgic. But, there was one particular moment that made our hearts skip a beat. We’re talking about the time when Jen and David confessed that they had a huge crush on each other while shooting for the series.
“At some point, we were crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that,” said David during the episode.
Well, it got a lot better from there. A little birdie revealed recently that after the reunion, the two have apparently been head over heels for each other.
“They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in LA. They’ve been spending time at Jen’s home, where she’s cooked dinners in the evenings, and have enjoyed quality time together, chatting and laughing. They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen’s favourite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them,” the source said.
While we really wanted this rumour to be true, sadly, it isn’t! During a recent interview with a leading international outlet, Jen dismissed all such claims and said, “That was bizarre. I could not believe that, actually. Like, really? That’s my brother!”
Oh well, what can we say? We really hoped that Ross was Rachel’s lobster IRL as well! Turns out, the actress understands this feeling quite well. “But I understand it, though. It just shows you how hopeful people are for fantasies and for dreams to come true,” she added.
NGL, we’re a tad bit disappointed. But, we will be fine because we’re going to watch Rachel get off that plane RN and find her lobster again!
