Janhvi Kapoor’s Bollywood career had its fair share of ups and downs. From accusations of being nepo kid to missing out on silver screen release during the lockdown, she faced it all. But for Janhvi the biggest heartbreak of her life was the death of her mom Sridevi.
Sridevi passed away in February 2018, just five months before the release of Janhvi’s debut film Dhadak. The Roohi star was devastated by the loss and it still remains her biggest heartbreak.
In an interview with a digital platform, she spoke about the ‘biggest war of her life’. Janhvi said, “I think definitely when I lost mom. I was shooting for Dhadak and dealing with her loss was quite tough. Somehow finding the will to keep working and a way to deal with all of these things happening in our lives was tough. Figuring that out was definitely the biggest war in my life.“
My heart goes out to Janhvi.
Looking Back At Janhvi’s Post For Sridevi
On Sridevi’s fifth death anniversary, Janhvi took to Instagram and dropped an unseen photo with her mom. Along with it she wrote, “I still look for you everywhere mumma, still do everything I do hoping I’m making you proud. Everywhere I go, and everything I do- it starts and ends with you (sic).” Scroll down to take a look:
Isn’t this the sweetest tribute? This just reminded me of what Pablo Neruda once wrote, “Absence is a house so vast that inside you will pass through its walls and hang pictures on the air.”
I am sure wherever Sridevi is, she is looking at Janhvi and she is proud of her. BRB, grabbing a pack of tissues ‘coz this just made me cry.
