If there’s one celeb kid that has been creating a major buzz in Bollywood these days, then it’s gotta be Palak Tiwari. Her stylish #OOTDs and jaw-dropping pics on Insta have all our attention. We also love looking at pics of her with her mother Shweta Tiwari. Remember their workout video that went viral a few days ago? Trust the duo to give us major #MotherDaughterGoals every damn time!
However, the star-to-be is often compared to her mom and there have been multiple reports that have accused Shweta of controlling her daughter’s career. In a recent interview with a leading daily, Palak opened up and shared her thoughts on the speculations.
Palak said, “She (Shweta Tiwari) is not controlling like that. The one thing I love about my mother is that she keeps telling me that this is your career, your decisions. I feel she trusts me a lot. So, she told me it’s your career and you are smart enough to make your own call.” Desi parents, are you listening? Palak further added that if she’s at crossroads, then she does what her mother thinks is best for her.
When asked about the comparisons, Palak said, “I will not call it fear. I would say pride more than anything. I will feel proud to be her daughter. That has never really stopped or scared me, I feel very comfortable and I am okay with the comparisons as I have realised it’s inevitable.” She also added that her mother is her biggest cheerleader and that’s all that matters. How sweet!
In another interview last month, Palak revealed why she was never going to debut with a television show. She explained, “ My mom has a great legacy so there was this sense of nervousness about whether I will be able to stand up to that. However, movies are a place where my mom can’t help me much as she can do on TV so I thought this is one arena where I can do things of my own.” This makes total sense, if you ask us.
Palak is all set to make her big debut with the horror-thriller Rosie: The Saffron Chapter. The film also stars Arbaaz Khan, Mallika Sherawat and Vivek Oberoi.
We can’t wait to see the actress on the silver screen ASAP. Here’s hoping we get a release date soon!
