2021 may have started on a not-so-good note, but it’s sure as hell ending on a great one for us! We’ve been having way too much fun keeping up with all the celeb shaadis and even speculations. RajKummar Rao-Patralekhaa Paul had a fairytale wedding recently, and Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal (hopefully) are next in line. And now we’ve got wind of the fact that another TV actress is currently prepping for her nuptials. That’s right, the latest buzz is that Mouni Roy is all set to get married to her Dubai-based boyfriend Suraj Nambiar in January.
As per reports, Mouni and Suraj’s wedding will be a two-day event that will happen on January 26 and 27. Apparently, the Naagin actress’s cousin has revealed that the couple is planning to get married in either Dubai or Italy. A little birdie also tells us that their wedding reception will take place at Mouni’s native place, Cooch Behar, West Bengal. A source close to the actress revealed, “Her close friends have been asked to save the date. The venue is yet to be disclosed. It could be a destination wedding. A function will be hosted in her hometown, Cooch Behar, as well.”
According to the grapevine, Mouni spent most of her time last year with Suraj and his fam in Dubai. We also hear that their families met at her good friend Mandira Bedi’s house in Mumbai earlier this year.
Mouni has always kept her personal life under the wraps. During an interview with a leading daily a few months ago, she’d said, “People who matter know I’m single and it’s not about the shortage of time. But I need to meet the right person. I can’t just pick someone and start dating.”
Well, it looks like Mouni has finally found the ‘right’ person and we couldn’t be happier for her. Here’s hoping the actress gives us a much-needed update about her wedding plans ASAP.
