In Bigg Boss 16, pretty much all the contestants have picked up a role to play. Archana Gautam is the jester, Tina Dutta–Shalin Bhanot are the lovebirds, Abdu Rozik is the apple of everyone’s eye and recently evicted Manya Singh was playing the villain. Right from her first day in the house, the Miss India runner-up stirred the pot and her zest for drama proved to be her Achilles’ heel.
After spending 24 days in the house, Manya was eliminated from the show and honestly, no one was surprised. She was the second contestant to be eliminated after telly star Sreejita De. Manya was nominated along with Shalin and Sumbul Touqeer and she had already declared that she’ll be the one with the least votes.
However, in the Bigg Boss world, you can’t be sure of anything, even the elimination! In the past, Bigg Boss has often invited eliminated housemates back into the house to give them a second chance. NGL, we have been wondering if Manya will get a chance to redeem herself.
In a recent interview, Manya shared she was ready for elimination and said, “It was unexpected but somewhere I was mentally ready. It is because the two contestants who were nominated with me (Shalin Bhanot and Sumbul Touqeer) were well-known faces. Audience-wise, I had fewer people who could support me. There were very few people in the pageant industry and only a few knew me through Bigg Boss 16. But as compared to their fans, I had no PR team and I was all alone. Somewhere I was expecting that if the eviction took place on the basis of voting, I would be out, no matter how I play.”
The beauty queen added, “In the third week, there was Manya. I was very much there. Third-week mein main kahi na kahi aayi thi aur maine kaafi mudde lagaye the (I made an impression in the third week. I had raised a few issues). But if given an opportunity, I would like to go and kuch adhuri cheeze main puri karna chahungi (I would like to finish a few things).”
Honestly, we have missed Manya! After all, what is an epic saga without the villain?
