After waiting for years, the moment every Shah Rukh Khan stan was waiting for is here. The trailer of Pathaan dropped earlier today and safe to say, I am obsessed. After watching the video on a loop, I have a lot to say about the teaser. So, scroll down for 12 thoughts I had while watching Pathaan’s trailer.
1. Oh my my! I need a moment to appreciate how impressive John Abraham is looking in the film. Look at ’em biceps…ufff!
2. “Hindustan pe attack” is legit one of the most cliched lines ever used in Bollywood. Didn’t we hear something similar in War as well?
3. Allegedly, Pathaan was in some sort of exile. So, is he the villain of the story or the hero? Also, what is this branch of the Army that Dimple Kapadia is heading? I need answers and I need them NOW.
4. My die-hard Shah Rukh Khan-obsessed self is screaming. This man is ageing like fine wine and haters can sit and whine about it.
5. Deepika Padukone just showed up in a gorgeous yellow bikini but how is this relevant to the film? Is her role just about being the hero’s sidekick or, worse, has she been cast just to look gorgeous?
6. That said, DP is also killing it with the action.
7. SRK and Deepika’s chemistry is fire. How good these two look on the screen!
8. NGL, some of the action sequences in the trailer remind me of every Mission Impossible movie ever.
9. Forget car chases, I can’t stop obsessing over the bike chase sequence on a frozen lake. Everything looks so grand and intense.
10. “Ek Soldier ye nahi puchta desh ne uske liye kya kiya, puchta hai wo desh ke liye kya kar sakta hai.” Isn’t this lifted from American President John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address quote, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country?”
11. This is going to be a completely over-the-top action flick and I am living for it.
12. On a side note, is anyone else getting a villain vibe from Deepika’s character? ‘Coz I am feeling a little sus.
Well, I can’t wait for all the drama to unfold on January 25, 2022. After three years SRK will be back where he belongs and I can’t wait to watch the hell out of this film.
