The current rumour that’s buzzing in tinsel town is that Deepika Padukone is going to be a part of Ayan Mukerji’s Trilogy, Brahmastra and fans can’t keep calm! The film is all set to hit the theatres on September 9 and there’s conjecture that DP is going to make a cameo in the film. Besides this, there are also reports that the actress will play the role of Parvati in the movie’s sequel. Fans had also allegedly spotted a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan in the trailer which led to the belief that SRK too, would make a special appearance.
Since there were a lot of speculations doing rounds, netizens were awaiting Ayan Mukerji’s confirmation on the same. Recently, in an interview the director finally addressed the rumours and broke a million hearts when he said that he is completely unaware of any such occurrences. He said, “I know nothing about this, Part 2 maybe. It is a good suggestion for Part 2. Maybe you’ll get to see them then.”
Ayan further clarified, “One thing I want to tell you is that Brahmastra is not really about Lord Shiva. Ranbir Kapoor’s character is just called Shiva in it. My greatest hero is Shiv Bhagwan. There is a lot of inspiration that I’ve put in my own way into this film and into this character. So there is no role of Parvati in Part One or Part Two or Part Three. To some extent, like it says in the dialogue of the movie, Isha is really Shiva’s Parvati in this trilogy.”
Although we are a little upset that DP won’t make a cameo in the film, Ayan didn’t really deny all the claims. So, there’s still room for hope and a possibility for all the finest actors in B-town to share screen space!
