Guys, I have to let you in on a secret- I’m so done with this lockdown. Oh, it’s not a secret, I tell pretty much everyone I talk to the same thing. Of course, I’m not trying to be ignorant by saying it should be lifted cause newsflash…there’s a deadly virus out there.
So, I’ve been trying a bunch of things to keep my morale high- I’ve started journaling every day, I’ve started doodling (not very well) too and I’ve started working out. Since we can’t go outside, home workouts are the only option so I pull out my yoga mat and try to follow a Youtube video.
However, what has recently sparked my interest is learning Bollywood choreographies on Instagram. Yup, there are loads available and I’ve got to say I burn so many calories thanks to the cardio that I’m ready for my yaar ki shaadi.
From bhangra moves to classical dance steps, this list has it all.
One of my favourite songs, Balam Pichkari has so many choreographies available online but we love this one the most because it’s simple yet looks beautiful. So when you’re getting bored with your sister, you now have something to do.
This is the perfect bridesmaid song and is also very cute for a bridal solo. So if you’re a bride-to-be, why not spend quarantine perfecting your dance. Thank us later!
The song Makhna was this shaadi season’s song of the year. All bridesmaids were grooving away to it and we’ve found a great choreography to follow. It’s pretty and not that difficult to follow as well. Team Naach has done a great job.
Channelise your inner Jaqueline Fernandez with this dance on Genda Phool. I feel like it’s everyone’s quarantine number cause it’s topping the charts everywhere. Once the lockdown is over, you know which song everyone will be grooving to on the cocktail night!
Well, this song is what everyone’s dream post quarantine is- go to a beach in Goa with your boo and chug a chilled beer. I know I am desperate to do that. Till we can’t go, might as well dance on the song, yeah!?
We are yet to find a dancer as elegant as Manpreet Toor and this choreography on Cheez Badi Hai is so perfect. If you’re newly married and quarantined with bae, it even has steps for the guy. So we know which couple is going to rock the dance floor next time.
The dancing song of Student of The Year 2, Yeh Jawani is another one you can prepare. It’s a relatively easier choreography and it’s got loads of jumps, so trust us, you’ll be sweating like a pig after you’re done with this one.
1…2…3…4… say shava shava!
