Eid al-Fitr follows weeks of fasting and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. This year the festival looked and felt very different. Traditionally, the festival is celebrated by gathering with friends, families, hugging and kissing each other, wearing new clothes and eating elaborate meals. This year the families are celebrating on their own as the current coronavirus pandemic demands that we protect our loved ones by staying away.
While a hug is all that we need to celebrate the festival–especially this year–we have to adapt to the new ways of life. Our celebrities from the telly world and B-Town are setting a great example. All of them decked up and sent virtual hugs to each other while celebrating the festival in their own unique way.
