How To Wear Bright Bold Red Lips To Work!

The bright, bold red lip has been an obsession of mine for a while – but that’s something all of you know by now. Remember my “Lipsticks for Fall” video? Well, today I’m going to share a few simple, key tips you should keep in mind while trying this look out.

Your Lips

You’ve got to know that the matte, bright lip colours are the easiest to spot with the slightest smear. You have to be “A” particular about it’s definition on your lips. Make sure you use a brush or a pencil and play it up correctly with the plumpness of your lips.

Makeup Madness

Don’t overdo the eyes and cheeks if you’re going with your major focus on
the lips. Balance it all out with some natural makeup and ease in with the defined, kohl-ed eyes. Be generous with your cheeks if you like, but don’t mess with the balance too much.

Mane Story

Pick between the casual, bold or dressy, daring look. Pick out your hairstyle accordingly, and be sure of the way you want to look in advance. You could opt for curls, straight hair or go in for a relatively casual messy fishtail braid – the choice is yours.

Make It Last

Use a primer or a cream-based moisturizer to make sure the application process is simple, and don’t forget to make it last! Feel free to touch up every now and then – no one wants a look that’s only half there.

My Personal Recommendation

ruby woo

I love the fabulous hue that MAC’s Ruby Woo gives me on application. You can feel free to use a primer to make it last longer, or a pencil to define it properly. The lipstick costs approximately INR 1,300 and is totally worth the money! Bonus points to this retro matte stick for the fact that it stays on through meals and drinks, and barely ever needs a touch-up!
