After all, we’re sure that old, broken eyeshadow palette you’ve been hoarding for the past 10 years does not spark any kind of joy whatsoever. If your beauty drawers won’t shut anymore or your makeup bag just won’t zip, or if finding a lipstick for you is equivalent to looking for a needle in a haystack, you need to keep on reading.
So, without further ado, here’s how you can tidy up your beauty vanity.
Out With The Old
First, you need to start with the most dreaded step–getting rid of old, expired makeup. We understand how tough it can be to part ways with that red lipstick you bought back in college or the discontinued highlighter which gives you the perfect lit-from-within-glow. But trust us when we say that no good can come from using expired makeup products. Not only do these products change colour and consistency over time, but they can also damage your skin. So, ditch them immediately and while you’re at it, throw away the free samples you’ve been hoarding as well. This will help cut down on clutter.
Organize By Colour
Now that the difficult part is over, the next steps are easy-peasy. When it comes to your lipsticks, if you have more than 10, it’s better to colour co-ordinate them. This will make it so much easier to find the right shade to match your outfit for the day.
You could also organize them by most used items. For example, that black lipstick you bought for Halloween isn’t something you would wear daily as compared to the nude-pink lippy. To avoid disrupting your neatly-organized makeup stash, keep your commonly used items within arm’s reach, rather than far back in your drawer.

Organize each item in the order that you find it easiest to go through.
Two Holders For Makeup Brushes
Yes, two! Wonder why? Well, even though it’s important to wash your makeup brushes regularly, it’s not advisable to wash them after every use, especially if you use them on a daily basis. In such scenarios, two holders are beneficial as it helps you distinguish the clean from the dirty brushes. If your used brushes have been sitting in their holder for more than three days, it’s time to give them a thorough wash.
Invest In Makeup Organizers

Separate Your Toiletries From Your Makeup
