How To Do It

Step 1: Pick Up The Pieces

If your palette is broken, there’s going to be a mess of powder inside it and some of the powder might even be outside the palette. Avoid any powder that has fallen on the floor and only bother about what has remained inside. Segregate the powders to their original pan placements, as best as you can, with a toothpick.

Step 2: Crush The Remains

Now that your shattered pieces of powders are back in their pans, begin to crush each of them individually with the toothpick so that you get rid of all clumps. You need the powders to be super loose in order to fix them. Use a spoon or any tool you can to crush it into a finely milled powder.

Step 3: Make It Slick

Time for the best part! Add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to each of the pans that were broken. Mix it up until the pigments form a thick paste. Ensure that all the powders are combined well with the rubbing alcohol. Use a spoon to even out the surface.

Step 4: Tap It Down

Once all the powders are turned to paste and are in their designated pans, you can now flatten them out so that they look smooth once they set. Wrap a cling wrap film over the pans and use your fingers to smoothen each pan out. Add some pressure to press the pastes into shape so that they fit in the pans well.

Step 5: Let It Dry

Leave the cling wrap on and let the palette set overnight. All you have to do is wait for the pastes to dry up. Check the palette after at least 10 hours to see if it is ready, if it is still slightly wet give it some more time to dry.
