Want Meghan Markle’s Pre-Wedding Glow? Her Facialist Reveals How!

Kate Middleton, despite being a royal both in status and in heart, famously chose to do her own make-up on her wedding day. She went ahead with soft smokey eyes and pink lip look, reportedly after receiving several hours of tuition from celebrity make-up artist, Arabella Preston.

After witnessing Kate Middleton’s effortlessly chic and genuine style, it comes as no surprise that bride-to-be Meghan Markle is consulting friend and beauty expert London-based facialist, Nichola Joss, for her help in attaining a just-right beauty look for her big day.

In an interview with a leading portal, Joss said that her first priority is to focus on corrective work in case the bride-to-be is going through acne or pigmentation before weddings.

“If you have troublesome skin, and you need some corrective work, like if you have acne or scarring, you need to start working on a routine at least 4-5 months before the big day, seeing your facialist every two weeks to get your skin in the best condition you can,” she suggests.

She also recommends cutting down visits to a facialist to once every three weeks but keeping the massages frequent. “You want to start getting regular massages from the beginning of your skincare journey, since it not only helps remove the tension in the face, but it also really helps improve the texture of your skin when you massage with a good, clean facial oil,” Joss added. It’ll help in attaining a natural bridal glow.

As Meghan Markle would be making a permanent move to the UK, she has reportedly been taking recommendations from her BFF Victoria Beckham. She’s been advised to take it easy on her skin when it comes to applying ample amount of products.

And it goes without saying that when your wedding gets closer, the focus should be on pampering your skin. “The last two months before your wedding should be focused on getting calmer, more hydrated skin, rather than getting more aggressive with your face, since corrective treatments can require a ton of downtime and healing,” she added.

That’s some million dollar advice. Now the best part: Recreate Meghan Markle’s routine with this go-to DIY facial guide:

As a result, brides like Meghan can take it easy while prepping their skin for their wedding day.

“This is the time where you want to be really gentle with your skin and use only simple, nourishing products, like a hydrating mask, a soft massage, and a cryo treatment,” Joss reveals.
