Hollywood’s hottest it-couple, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, have never shied away from giving us details about their relationship. The couple recently celebrated their proposal anniversary and left us all swooning. But are you wondering how they’re dealing with social isolation as a couple? As much as they’re enjoying each other’s company during the COVID-19 crisis, they are away from their families and are trying to adapt to the ‘new normal’, just like the rest of us. During these difficult times, Priyanka revealed that the couple is trying to stay connected with their families as much as they can.
In a recent interview, Priyanka told a media portal that the couple has to be extra careful due to their preexisting health conditions when it comes to socialising. “I’m asthmatic and my husband’s type 1 diabetic, so we have to be even more careful”, she said. Therefore, the couple has been finding ways to stay connected with friends and their families throughout the crisis. PC, who has been away from her mother Madhu Chopra and brother Siddharth since the month of March, said, “There have been a lot of Zoom calls and Zoom brunches. We have a really large friends and family group, and I’ve had a lot of birthdays in my family that have happened recently, so we’ve done a few socially distanced lunches.”
According to Priyanka, staying connected with friends and family is crucial to feel a sense of normalcy in these uncertain times. She said, “If you have the ability to have a human connection with friends, family, whether that’s virtually or whether that’s in a socially distant way, I think that’s really important to feel a sense of normalcy”.
Meanwhile, talking about her professional commitments, PC said that while she thinks that a couple of her projects might go on floors by the end of this year but is unsure due to the ongoing pandemic situation. Talking about her preparedness to go back to work, Priyanka said that she will have to be super cautious and take the safety measures seriously. “I am prepared to go back to work. I know I’ll have to make sure that I’m extremely disciplined, super careful for myself and for everyone else, and take the quarantining and testing measures seriously. It’s a new normal, and it’s not going to turn back into being what it was anytime soon. So we just have to come to terms with that reality”, The Sky Is Pink actress said.
