Lo Aa Gayi Lohri Ve! This Is How B-Town Is Celebrating The Festival & We’re Hella Excited

The first festival of 2022 is here and we’re so happy! Given everything that’s going on in our lives right now (the rising COVID-19 cases and the constant sense of fear), we truly needed something to uplift our spirits. Well, what’s better than the occasion of Lohri that brings in new hope and a promise of new beginnings?

The harvest festival of India is celebrated all over the country with a lot of enthusiasm. It marks the end of winter and the beginning of warmer days. We all have seen the occasion being celebrated in Bollywood movies with a lot of zeal and zest. Well, our celebs love Lohri IRL as well and have shared beautiful wishes with their fans. They have also revealed their plans for the day and we have to say, this festive vibe is bringing a huge smile to our faces.

Here’s what our Bollywood celebs have planned for Lohri this year:

Kangana Ranaut shared a Lohri gif on her Instagram story and wished her fans on the occasion. The actress had once revealed that the festival was close to her heart as it brought back beautiful childhood memories. She wrote on her ‘Gram, “In Himachal, we have a tradition of singing Lohri (songs). When I was small, children made groups and sang Lohri(songs) in neighbourhoods and collected money/sweets.” Aww, that’s so cute!

Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal tied the knot in November last year and wanted their first Lohri celebration as Mr and Mrs to be a grand affair. But, due to the pandemic, they have changed their plans. While talking to a leading daily recently, the actress said that she’d enjoy the auspicious occasion with just her family. “It will be the entire family coming together for Lohri. Aditya and I always want our closest people around. We would binge eat and do the Lohri bhangra. In fact, I have made a special playlist as well.”

Aparshakti Khurrana

Aparshakti Khurrana is extra excited about the festival because this time, he’s celebrating it as a father. The actor welcomed his baby girl, Arzoie, last year and it’s her first Lohri. While talking about his plans to a leading daily in an interview, he said, “Arzoie is too small right now to learn about this festival but I plan to give all my time to her and even have her share of ‘rewaris, phullas and the moongfali! Even if it ruins my calorie count for the day.” Due to the pandemic, Aparshakti is having a low-key celebration at home with his wife, Aakriti Ahuja, and daughter.

Shilpa Shetty

The actress shared a Lohri greeting with her fans on her Instagram handle that read, “May the Lohri fire burn all your stresses & worries and illuminate your life with happiness, peace & love.” The actress has enjoyed the occasion almost every year with her family and we’re eagerly waiting to see pics from her celebration around the bonfire tonight.

Happy Lohri fam! Celebrate the auspicious occasion safely with your loved ones.
