Kapil Sharma
The Kapil Sharma Show has become the go-to watch for every desi family over the years. Owing to its high TRP, the host and face of the show, Kapil Sharma reportedly charges Rs 50 lakh per episode. He earlier used to get a remuneration between Rs 30 lakh to Rs 35 lakh per episode, but Kapil hiked his fee to Rs 50 lakh per episode for season 3 due to increased demand.
Rupali Ganguly
Rupali Ganguly aka everyone’s fave Anupamaa recently became the highest-paid TV actor in India, owing to her exceptional acting in the show. According to a recent report, Rupali Ganguly has started charging a hefty fee of 3 Lakhs per episode for Anupamaa. Three years ago, she started the show with a nominal fee of Rs 35,000 per episode. Eventually, the show become a major hit, and she hiked her fee to 1.5 Lakhs in 2022. She has now doubled her fee.
Tejasswi Prakash
Ever since Tejasswi Prakash won India’s most-watched reality show Bigg Boss 15, opportunities have been raining on her. Teja just wrapped up the shoot for Ekta Kapoor Naagin 6, where she played the lead role of Pratha. Apparently, she charged Rs.2 lakh per episode for the show.
Karan Kundrra
Karan Kundrra has been dominating headlines due to his ongoing show, Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal, (read: desi version of Vampire Diaries) which has fans hooked ever since it went on air. Despite trolling and backlash, the show has managed to get decent TRPs. Karan, being one of the lead actors with an experience of over 15 years, is reportedly getting Rs. 3 Lakhs per episode for the show.
Hina Khan
If there’s one actress who’s managed to rule the best of both worlds–daily soaps and reality shows–it’s def Hina Khan. Hina rose to fame after playing Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. Her Bigg Boss stint also proved to be a major success. After BB, Hina tried more reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, and Nach Baliye. According to reports, Hina gets paid a hefty sum of Rs 1.5 to 2 lakhs per episode.
Divyanka Tripathi
After making her TV debut with Banoo Main Teri Dulhan in 2006 and taking up a few anchoring gigs, Divyanka got her big break in Ye Hai Mohabbatein. Her character Ishita touched the hearts of even non-daily soap fans. She apparently charges a whopping amount of Rs. 1 to 1.5 lakhs per episode.
Ram Kapoor
Ram Kapoor, who gained huge popularity with the show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, now charges Rs 1.25 lakh per episode. Besides acting in TV shows, the 49-year-old has also done a few films like Humshakals, appeared in web series like Karlee Tu Bhi Mohabbat, and hosted the reality show, Rakhi Ka Swayamvar.
