Hina Khan has been one of the most loved actresses in the Telly world. She won hearts with her role as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Then she went on to become one of the most voted contestants on Bigg Boss Season 11 owing to her controversial stint in the house. So much so that haters apologised to her after the show ended and joined Team Hina.
And, we think, you all know how much fans loved her when she essayed the role of the most badass villain in Indian television history, Komolika, in Kasautii Zindagii Kay‘s reboot.
But did you know that she’s popular overseas too? The actress is currently vacationing with boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal in New York. In fact, recently on Independence Day, she was invited to be a guest at India Day Parade organised by the Federation of Indian Associations and NBA. Needless to say, fans welcomed her with truckloads of love. “Hina, Hina,” cheered the crowd when Hina joined the parade.
She looked beautiful in her Indian look as she donned a gold and orange saree with a black blouse, and hair tied in a bun. The 31-year-old actress shared pictures and videos from the parade and wrote:
“Representing your country is always a pleasure and if you get to do it in one of the most powerful countries of the world .. well, there can not be a privilege better than that!
Holding the tricolour for my beloved country. I endorse the idea that India is in the U.S.A and the idea it represents, humbly appreciate the warmth and inclusiveness of the people and this great atmosphere. Jai Hind! Hindostan Zindabad! Always, humeshaa..”

Hina Khan quit Kasautii to pursue her big Bollywood dream. She’s all set to make her debut with Lines directed by Hussein Khan. It is a tragic love story set in Kashmir during the Kargil War and revolves around the life of people who reside close to LOC (Line Of Control) on both sides of the border. The film’s official poster was first launched at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
She has another film in her kitty. The actress recently signed Vikram Bhatt’s directorial titled Hacked. The film also stars TV actor Rohan Shah, who will be seen playing Hina’s lover.
Earlier, in an interview with a leading daily, Hina opened up about working with Vikram, “Vikram is a wonderful narrator and a person. We had a long chat about the film and we were clear about what to expect. I love the concept of the film and even heard some of the music, which is mind-blowing. And he is excited and keen about having me on board, which boosts my morale. I feel lucky to have got this film.”
