Bollywood always turns a festival into a special day in their own glamorous ways. So when Raksha Bandhan coincided with Independence Day, all celebs went big and had a star-studded celebration. From the Bachchans to the Khans, all the star kids from the big Bollywood families came together to celebrate the love between siblings.
It was all about family and love for our celebs this year. And to our delight, many of them took to social media to share the snapshots of their happy day. From throwback pictures to first Rakhis, we’re loving all the pictures that the Bollywood fam shared with their fans.
How Bollywood Celebrated Raksha Bandhan
1. The Bachchans
The Bachchans celebrated Rakhi with great enthusiasm. Aishwarya shared pictures of daughter Aaradhya posing with cousins Agastya and Navya Naveli. The former Miss World also shared snaps of little Aaradhya tying Rakhi to Agastya and her brothers from the maternal side.
Shweta Bachchan Nanda shared pictures from the celebration on her Instagram.
Abhishek Bachchan also posted a throwback picture with sister Shweta Nanda and captioned it, “Been picking on her since 1976! Happy Rakhi @shwetabachchan. Love you. #brothersandsisters”
2. The Khans
The Khan family celebrated Rakhi a day in advance. Shah Rukh Khan’s sons, AbRam and Aryan, celebrated the festival with their maternal cousin Alia Chhiba (daughter of Gauri Khan’s brother Vikrant Chhiba). Posting the pictures on her Instagram account, Alia wrote, “So rakhi came early this year.”
That’s a cute little family portrait, isn’t it? We do miss Suhana though! Wondering where she is? According to some reports, the starlet is attending a theatre festival in France.
3. The Kapoors
Sonam Kapoor took to Instagram to show her “Rakhi loot” to all her fans, while cousin Arjun Kapoor posted individual pictures with all the Kapoor sisters – Sonam, Anshula and Rhea.

4. The Other Kapoors
Given that it was Zain’s first Rakhi with sister Misha, it was a special day for parents Shahid and Mira Kapoor this year. Mira posted a picture with her family, in which both the kids sat in their parents’ lap while Misha adorably tied Rakhi on Zain’s little wrist. Mira captioned the picture, “Promises to keep 🌸”
She also posted stories on her Instagram account wherein Misha and Zain were busy opening their respective shagun envelopes.

5. The Pataudis
Soha Ali Khan shared a throwback picture of the Pataudi fam from Rakhi last year. We can see Sara, Ibrahim, Taimur, Soha and Inaaya nestled together in one frame.
Soha also shared a cutesy picture of cousins Taimur and Inaaya with the caption, “I know there will be times when I will drive you round the bend, but I know you will always have my back #happyrakshabandhan #timandinni”

Sara also shared a picture of Saif and herself on Instagram.
6. The Bhatts And Johars
Alia Bhatt celebrated Raksha Bandhan with her mentor Karan Johar’s kids, Yash and Roohi. The picture, shared by Karan on his Instagram, shows ‘Alia didi’ tying a rakhi on baby Yash’s wrist while his twin sister, Roohi, stands in the background.
Alia posted these pictures on her Instagram too with the caption, “Just too much love… ❤️”
